Software Security | Computer Technology Update Information

In addition, soft starter technology, which starts the motor at a slow, controlled manner, has a solid-state soft starters have the added ability to protect the motor against overload. It provides this protection by either electromechanical or electronic means, both models have fully programmable electronic overload protection that meets code. The ability to program the soft start allows the gap between full voltage starting and inverters bridge while retaining the flexibility of the latter.
?
Another form of soft starters, motor controllers use a different approach to bring the engine speed in a controlled manner. Software security is quickly becoming one of the hottest topics in computer software circles. Today, every one can easily cracked version (software that comes with illegal software keys) by clicking in the right places on the Internet. In the real world software resale, rental software and backup software, all are called ?software piracy?.
?
Software Security ? The Problem
?
While most countries apply copyright laws, software, these laws are rarely enforced and not enforced in some countries. It is virtually impossible to track who has an authentic copy of a software program and who is not. While software piracy as a victimless crime seems to be the most piracy against small and medium-sized enterprises is done. Software programmers spend years developing a program need to protect their hard work. In recent years, with the shortage of software programmers have taken the law enforcement authorities of the issue of software security into their own hands.
?
Software Security ? The Solution
?
There are a few companies today that to develop security software to make the application code and rules for the licensing of hacker protection of changes and deletions. One way to protect software is through code obfuscation.
?
Software security ? code obfuscation
?
Obfuscated code is source code (usually intentionally) is very hard to read and understand. Some programming languages ??are more prone to fogging than others. C, C + + and Perl are usually quoted as easy obfuscatable languages. Macro preprocessors are often used to create hard to read code by masking the standard syntax and grammar from the main part of the code. The term ?wrapped code? has also been used.
?
Programs in languages ??like C + + or Pascal are compiled into machine language of a particular computer before they become a program. Programmers write ?source code?, do computers ?machine code? so this conversion is necessary. It is (generally) a one-way conversion of source code into machine code. Machine code is not encrypted and is easy for everyone to see, but the format is so boring for the people who reverse-engineering efforts are slow and painful.
?
In-house application development organizations highly-customized mission-critical software for companies worldwide to offer. Not less than ISVs (Independent Software Vendor), these teams need protection and control for their products ? especially since they are more service-oriented, plays a central role in the overall enterprise business strategy.
?
With an understanding that code protection and licensing systems must cooperate fully in-house development teams today Taking aholistic approach to software security, that a complete software lifecycle management services.

Mind, Body, Spirit, and Lifestyle

I often feel like I?m a walking contradiction at times because I simply cannot align my spiritual being with my physical being. There always seems to be a struggle between the two because the body wants what it wants while my mind tells me that may not be the wisest choice.

For example chocolate ice cream, I love chocolate ice cream! However, I simply cannot eat it all the time. It?s a fact that?s it?s fattening, full of sugar and doesn?t contain all the necessary nutrients to sustain my good health. My mind knows this, but my physical craving for it to satisfy my taste buds rationalize otherwise thus creating the dilemma.

Should I obey and give in to my inner desire and craving for the ice cream or should I stand firm, resist the temptation and exert a little self discipline to maintain a healthier lifestyle? We make seemingly simple choices like that all day everyday.

Although we may not pay the price right away for the choice we make for something as trivial as ice cream; our decisions for whether or not to instantly gratify our desires will have it?s consequences over time.

I find this to be especially true as I?m fast approaching my 40th birthday. The choices and decisions I?ve made in my youth has not only caught up to me but is solidifying itself in my character, personality, and my lifestyle as well. No one becomes fat over night. I need to learn how and have the discipline to maintain a healthier lifestyle if I want to be slim, trim and fit.

Let?s switch gear here for a moment and just pretend that the choice we have to make is a little bit more important than ice cream. Say religion, which seems to be an almost taboo subject these day. We have so many radicals and activists that?s teaching us to be ?politically correct?, to be more accepting of other peoples lifestyles and less judgmental whether we agree with it or not.

When it comes to my own spirituality, I?m not afraid to admit that I?m a Christian. Look no one?s perfect. If the ?politically correct? people don?t want ?religion? to be pushed on them, I?m fine with that. After all, I still like to think we have our own free will. The only problem is, I don?t want gay and lesbian agenda pushed on me or my children either. ?If we don?t stand for something we?ll fall for anything.?

If we can?t talk about God in school, I really don?t want same sex marriages to be taught in the same school system either. So where am I going with all of this or what am I getting at? Our Lifestyle of course. My mind, body, and spirit may not always be in harmony, but what we chose today and everyday will most definitely define our lifestyle.

I?ve come to the conclusion that I simply cannot harmonize my mind, body, and spirit without mixing love, faith, and obedience. Being a Christian is not about being perfect, it?s about being forgiven. Being able to forgive and love one another is the ultimate lifestyle.

Best of Success,

Mitt Romney favored in Nevada caucuses: Three big reasons why (The Christian Science Monitor)

Mitt Romney has three big things going for him in today?s Republican caucuses in Nevada: Momentum (and fund-raising chops) from his big win in Florida?s primary election Tuesday. A fractured and therefore ineffectual tea party movement. And a lot of Mormon coreligionists.

At this point in the campaign, with former tea party favorites Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry, and Herman Cain having dropped out, the conservative political insurgency might have been expected to coalesce around Newt Gingrich or Rick Santorum as their anybody-but-Romney choice. (But not, most likely, Ron Paul because of what many perceive as his isolationist stand on national security, particularly regarding Israel.)

But tea party leaders are the first to admit that any unified effort was and is unlikely.

RECOMMENDED: Will Mitt Romney's 'Mormon moment' help his campaign?

?There?s so much infighting,? Reno-area tea party organizer Richard Disney told the Las Vegas Sun. ?Santorum has a lot behind him, but he?s not going to win; everybody knows that. Gingrich has some behind him, but so many people in the tea party detest Gingrich. Half hate him and half say he?s more conservative than Romney so they?ll support him.?

?The Republican establishment are doing their best to dismantle the tea party,? Disney added, ?and they?re doing a good job, frankly.?

But the ?Republican establishment? ? i.e., Romney backers ? can?t be blamed (or credited) with tea party failures. Two years ago, the movement split among several potential Republican candidates to challenge Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid, who clearly was vulnerable as a symbol for everything the tea party fought against. Sharron Angle won the nod, but lost to Reid in a race often focusing on her controversial assertions and general campaign strangeness.

A Las Vegas Review-Journal poll this week shows Romney may be chipping away at the tea party.

Gingrich bests Romney 37-27 among those who say they ?strongly support? the tea party movement, but Romney is favored by more than half of those who support the tea party ?somewhat.? Romney beats Gingrich by 20 points (45-25) among all likely caucus participants.

"I think Romney is getting some traction there finally with the tea party," Jennifer Duffy, an analyst with the Cook Political Report, told the Review-Journal. "It's the electability argument. We saw the same thing in Florida. Now we're going to be looking for whether or not he is starting to solidify the conservative base."

Four years ago, Romney won the Nevada caucuses with 51 percent, and the support of fellow Mormons was a big factor.

?Despite comprising about 7 percent of the state?s population, they made up more than one-quarter of the GOP caucus electorate, and entrance polls showed Romney winning a stunning 95 percent of their vote,? notes Aaron Blake in the Washington Post?s political blog The Fix. ?In other words, half of Romney?s vote in Nevada came from fellow Mormons, and he could have won the state?s caucuses even if he hadn?t gotten a single vote from anyone else.?

The Review-Journal poll this week shows 86 percent of Mormons likely to vote for Romney in the Saturday caucuses.

It?s been estimated that Romney may have lost about 10 percent of the vote in Iowa and South Carolina ? heavily evangelical Christian states ? because of his faith. But across much of the interior West ? in Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, and certainly Utah ? it no doubt helps him.

?The LDS thing I think is probably less of an issue here ? because we?re so familiar with Mormons and the LDS faith,? former Colorado Rep. Bob Beauprez, a Romney supporter, told Politico.com. ?I think most people see them as patriotic folks, good neighbors, hard workers, wonderful family values. The mystery, if there?s any of that, just doesn?t exist out here.?

In his FiveThirtyEight blog at the New York Times, Nate Silver scans all recent polls to conclude that Romney is unbeatable in Nevada. Romney has a 100 percent chance of winning, likely with more than 50 percent of the votes, Silver writes.

Such predictions always carry an important caveat: If the former Massachusetts governor wins by a slimmer margin than predicted ? always a possibility, especially since Gingrich is running hundreds of ads in Nevada (many of them negative), thanks to an infusion of super PAC funds from billionaire casino tycoon Sheldon Adelson ? then Romney won?t have nailed down the nomination.

But later in the month, Arizona and Colorado will hold their nominating events (a primary election and caucuses, respectively). Those are two more states where Romney?s Mormon supporters can be expected to be an important factor in the outcome.

RECOMMENDED: Will Mitt Romney's 'Mormon moment' help his campaign?

Iran says oil ban will not halt nuclear work (Reuters)

TEHRAN (Reuters) ? Iran's oil minister said the Islamic state would not retreat from its nuclear program even if its crude oil exports grind to a halt, the official IRNA news agency reported on Saturday.

But he also called on the European Union, which accounted for a quarter of Iranian crude oil sales in the third quarter of 2011, to review its decision last week to bank Iranian oil imports from July 1.

"We will not abandon our just nuclear course, even if we cannot sell one drop of oil," Rostam Qasemi told reporters, according to IRNA.

Tension with the West rose last month when Washington and the European Union imposed the toughest sanctions yet on Iran in a bid to force it to provide more information on its nuclear program. The measures are aimed at shutting off the second-biggest OPEC oil exporters' sales of crude.

Qasemi said Iran would cut oil exports to some nations in Europe - he did not specify which - in retaliation for the 27-state EU's decision to stop importing Iranian crude.

"Our oil exports will certainly be cut to some European countries ... We will decide about other European countries later," Qasemi told a news conference, IRNA reported.

He urged Europe to reconsider its ban, and said the oil market is in balance now but would be thrown into turmoil without Iranian crude supplies.

"Unfortunately the EU has succumbed to America's pressure. I hope they would review their decision on sanctioning Iran's oil exports," Qasemi said.

"The international crude market will experience turmoil in the absence of Iranian oil with unforeseen consequences on oil prices," he said.

However, analysts say the global oil market would not be greatly affected if Iran were to turn off the oil tap to Europe.

Saudi Arabia's promise to make up for any shortfall in oil from Iran has angered Tehran, which has written to the head of OPEC asking for cooperation from its members.

"We are hopeful Saudi Arabia would respond positively to our just demand," Qasemi said.

The EU's ban on Iranian oil came after U.S. President Barack Obama signed new sanctions into law on New Year's Eve that would block any institution dealing with Iran's central bank from the U.S. financial system.

If fully implemented, these measures will make it impossible for countries to buy Iranian oil, but Qasemi said the ban would not disrupt the state's oil transactions.

"We have different ways to receive our oil money, which is not always necessarily through the central bank, like using banks in friendly countries," he said without elaborating.

The minister also dismissed reports of Iran selling its oil in lower prices." No country has asked for a discount. We are selling our oil based on global market prices. If necessary, we would be willing to engage in barter trade."

ALTERNATIVE CRUDE BUYERS

Brent crude prices rose to near three-month peaks on Friday, partly thanks to oil investors covering short positions ahead of the weekend due to the standoff between the West and Tehran over its nuclear program.

The United States wants buyers in Asia, Iran's biggest oil market, to cut imports to put further pressure on Tehran, which is scrambling to find new buyers and persuade existing customers to keep doing business with it.

But Iran remains a key supplier for many countries, and some of its major customers are seeking waivers from Washington from the sanctions while they look for alternative sources of oil.

Saudi Arabia, Iran's regional rival, has promised to make up any shortfall in supply.

Iranian officials have said sanctions have had no impact on it, while the country's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei threatened on Friday to retaliate against the West for sanctions.

Qasemi also played down the importance of Europe as a market for its exports.

"We have no problem to find other crude buyers to replace the European countries," he was quoted as saying.

The United States and its allies say Iran is trying to develop weapons under cover of a civilian nuclear program. But energy-rich Iran denies this, saying it needs nuclear technology to generate electricity.

Washington and Israel have not ruled out military action if diplomacy fails to resolve the standoff. Iran has warned of firm retaliation if attacked, including targeting Israel and U.S. bases in the Gulf and closing off the vital oil shipping route through the Strait of Hormuz.

But Qasemi played down the possibility of Iran blocking the crucial waterway.

"Iran is not after tension, and closure of the Strait is a politically motivated issue," he said.

Isolated Iran is also facing problems over the price it charges neighbor Turkey for its natural gas exports. Turkey said on January 31 that it was taking Tehran to international arbitration over the matter.

Qasemi rejected Ankara's complaint that the price was too high. "Iran surely cannot decrease its natural gas price (for Turkey) without legal authorization," he said.

Iran exports 10 billion cubic meters of gas each year to Turkey, making it Ankara's second-biggest supplier after Russia.

The Islamic state holds the world's second-largest gas reserves, but currently has no major net exports, partly because of sanctions.

Construction Connection Finishes 2011 Sponsoring Community ...

Miami, FL (PRWEB) January 05, 2012

Construction Connection, the fast-growing informational and networking resource for construction professionals and companies, announces its supportive involvement with partner organizations in the construction industry. By contributing time, energy, capital, and intellectual resources, Construction Connection aims to support the entire construction industry through continued education, teaching construction professionals to implement the latest technology, and contributing finances and time to other construction organizations.

In December, Construction Connection acted as a Gold-level sponsor for the Miami chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction. Acting on the goal of becoming the best possible resource for all construction industry professionals and businesses, Construction Connection donated generously to the 50th Anniversary and Scholarship Fundraiser for NAWIC. The ?Havana Nights? themed event was NAWIC Miami?s major fund-raising event for the year to benefit local educational programs which provide scholarships for college students in the community who are interested in careers in the construction industry.

Construction Connection has also partnered with The Construction Underground, Inc., a not-for-profit in South Florida, to further promote business-to-business interaction and networking within the construction industry. Construction Connection donated four months of raffle prizes, such as t-shirts and gift certificates for Construction Connection vendors, for organizational events arranged by The Construction Underground.

In October, Construction Connection worked in conjunction with Verizon Wireless to organize and present a seminar on field technology in the construction industry. The two-and-a-half hour open forum featured instruction on the latest cell phone technologies, the cost of technology in business, QR codes, mobile credit card processing, and vehicle effectiveness. Construction Connection teamed with Verizon training experts to teach contractors how new technology can make and save them money.

Additionally, Construction Connection sponsored a fundraising event for the American Society of Professional Estimators. In November, Construction Connection contributed financial resources as well as human resources, by spending time working at the ASPE golf tournament to raise money for local construction universities. The tournament raised over $ 18,000 to support the education of construction estimators and for scholarship programs offered to those pursuing a career in construction through Florida Atlantic University, Florida International University, or Everglades University. Suzanne Breistol, co-founder of Construction Connection, has been a board member of the local chapter of ASPE for the past fourteen years and works at the tournament each year.

Construction Connection was created out of a need for a more effective and streamlined way for construction industry professionals to get matched with the right industry jobs and with the right industry opportunities. Construction Connection is seeking similar opportunities for community involvement across all major construction markets in the US. The partners of Construction Connection, both industry professionals themselves, listened to both company and individuals? dissatisfaction with the traditional job boards, paid resume blasts, overpriced resume services, and overall lack of sympathy toward the individual candidate. We also listened to the dissatisfaction from companies who post jobs only to get many irrelevant results or having to purchase high priced ads to showcase their company. Construction Connection is a patent-pending, one-of-a-kind profile creating / match-making system. The system delivers effective results. Construction Connection saves you time, money and aggravation by matching people to people, people to companies, companies to people, and company to company.
